I absolutely adored working with amanda and sebastian. There is no doubt these two are each other’s best friend. And here’s a funny story about these two…. This was the fourth time they celebrated getting married. Yep, four. They had a marraige celebration in California, where Sebastian’s family resides. They had to get married “legally” for the navy, and they ended up having to do that twice because paperwork got messed up the first time. So that brings us to the fourth wedding – The one Amanda considers “the” wedding. It took place in Amanda’s parents back yard. It rained all morning, but the weather showed otherwise when it was time to celebrate. I am so thrilled and honored to have photographed their wedding. I know that the world is going to bring them on lots of fun adventures, and I can’t wait to see where they end up next! Congratulations, Amanda and Sebastian!
I was so excited for bes and wes’ backyard wedding day!
Their wedding was filled with lots of my favorite things: a dog, a backyard, tattoos, good music, and vegan cake!
The weather was gorgeous and the day was just perfect. Beth made all the decorations, her mom did the flowers and they deejayed the wedding themselves. They had an intimate ceremony for just their immediate family at 4:30, then later their closest friends showed up to celebrate. They had a day that truly represented who they are, and I feel so honored to have been a part of it. Congratulations Beth and Wes!
This morning I headed over to Fleetwood Roller Rink to photograph the Chicago Outfit’s C-Team Shakedown Scrimmage. I’ve never really dabbled in something like this, but was up for the challenge and had a great time. Plus it combined two of my loves – rollerderby and photography! Even though they didn’t win, they played and looked awesome! Special thanks to David Kindler who set up lighting. I definitely hope to be doing more of this in the future!
, After meeting with Nikki and Chad in January, I told them “If you don’t pick me to shoot your wedding, I’m coming as paparrazi!” I have been so excited to shoot their day in Osh Kosh, Wisconsin. There wedding was not your traditional wedding – and they stayed extremely true to who they are. They basically threw a big party, and just happened to be getting married too! They had a simple, beautiful ceremony at a park down the street from where Nikki grew up, which they rode to ON A TANDEM BIKE! Instead of vows, they did a top ten list of why they want to be married to eachother…and it was adorable. After the ceremony, we moved on to nikki’s family-owned bar (also down the street), for wings, pizza and cupcakes! There was a jumping castle for the kids (and adults), and the night was filled with just low-maintenance, genuine fun. I feel so lucky to have met such amazing clients, and now friends!
