I processed another roll of film today! I’m telling you, I’m like a little kid on my way to a toy store when this is happening. This time I tried this film I got at the lomography store in LA about a year and a half ago…The colors are alot more vibrant than last time, especially in the sunlight. I plan to load my camera right back up and keep shooting. There will definitely be more to come!
Megan and Andrew were one of the first weddings I booked for this year, and time just flew by – they got married labor day weekend and had a lovely wedding at fultons on the river. The day called for rain and it was cloudy and grey all day, but the rain stayed away. We took photos around chicago where we got to use our lovely city as a backdrop from all different kinds of angles….Somehow it miraculously stayed dry the whole day, even though dark clouds lingered over us most of the time! I had a great time at their wedding….Wishing the two of them all the best!
Christine and jake had a lovely wedding at architectural artifacts last week. They were so much fun to work with – they have a GREAT sense of humor! We did a very beautiful first look at montrose beach and then headed to the venue for photos and the ceremony. The night was alot of fun and I had a great time working with the two of them. Below is just a small snippet of the many photos from their beautiful wedding day!
It such an honor to photograph the wedding of a couple like Jon and Meg. They are two very compassionate people who are working hard to leave their mark of good in this world. Extra bonus points from me: they are vegan! They had a very simple, non-traditional, traditional (yep!) wedding at Silver Lakes Country Club in Orland. The weather was a little unpredictable at times, but it ended up behaving just in time for us to run outside and take some photos. Wishing Jon and Meg all the best!
A few weeks ago I photographed one of my past clients, Jodi’s family. Jodi has five other sisters, and between them all there are almost 20 kids! This was really a treat because all the kids were under the age of 12 – so there were a lot of fun personalities to work with. It was a hot, hot august day, but everyone did so great. Jodi and Erik don’t have any two-legged kids yet, so we they brought along their english bulldog named Bacon! Here are a few of my favorites from the day.
Emma and Ross, who I photographed back in July, got married this past Sunday at the Byron Colby Barn. The barn is absolutely lovely, and Emma did such a fantastic job putting everything together. All of the details were handmade, full of all kinds of sentiments. Emma and Ross were two of the most happiest people I have ever seen. Emma was beaming since the second the hotel door opened and she said hello to me. This was truly a special day – the weather was perfect – and these two were surrounded by love.
Emma went out of her way and got me my own vegan cupcake. It’s rare that I have a good meal at a wedding (which i definitely had at this one!) – its extra rare that I ever get desert. Thanks so much for thinking of me!!
Now on with the photos….
The girls stopped at a bar beforehand to grab a shot of tequila…
….and now my most favorite moment of the night…The couple, who decided they were not going to have a first dance, got so caught up in the moment – they snuck in a little dance. It was so romantic and so wonderful….I almost lost it…
