Gessica + John’s wedding marked my last wedding of 2015! And what a way to end it – their wedding was at my favorite venue, Salvage One. Gessica was absolutely stunning, and their daughter, madison was a mini version of her mama. It was a wedding not to forget – so grateful to have been a part of it!
It such an honor to photograph the wedding of a couple like Jon and Meg. They are two very compassionate people who are working hard to leave their mark of good in this world. Extra bonus points from me: they are vegan! They had a very simple, non-traditional, traditional (yep!) wedding at Silver Lakes Country Club in Orland. The weather was a little unpredictable at times, but it ended up behaving just in time for us to run outside and take some photos. Wishing Jon and Meg all the best!
I had the opportunity to do maternity portraits for Liz and Charles, and had alot of fun doing so. We met at the South Shore Cultural Center, which served as a lovely background for these shots. TThey even brought along their dog, Gracie – who is going to make a great big sister.
, After meeting with Nikki and Chad in January, I told them “If you don’t pick me to shoot your wedding, I’m coming as paparrazi!” I have been so excited to shoot their day in Osh Kosh, Wisconsin. There wedding was not your traditional wedding – and they stayed extremely true to who they are. They basically threw a big party, and just happened to be getting married too! They had a simple, beautiful ceremony at a park down the street from where Nikki grew up, which they rode to ON A TANDEM BIKE! Instead of vows, they did a top ten list of why they want to be married to eachother…and it was adorable. After the ceremony, we moved on to nikki’s family-owned bar (also down the street), for wings, pizza and cupcakes! There was a jumping castle for the kids (and adults), and the night was filled with just low-maintenance, genuine fun. I feel so lucky to have met such amazing clients, and now friends!
Saturday morning I had the opportunity to meet and photograph Erin and Dan for an engagement session in grant park. They chose grant park because it is where Dan proposed…how sweet! It was a chilly and windy start by the fountain, but they were great sports. Buckingham fountain is one of my favorite places in the city, and it made a lovely backdrop for their photos. It was a pleasure to have met the two of them, and I wish them the best as they prepare to celebrate their big day next summer.
