opie turns one!

Brace yourself for the cuteness that is opie! He had turned one the day before this shoot, and I met him and his family at a studio in the west loop right before his first birthday party. It was too cold to do the shoot outside, but we snuck out for a few photos and I’m so glad we did. Opie was a champ and gave us lots of smiles out there!

This family is no stranger to this blog! I photographed ben and laura’s wedding and have had the honor of photographing these kiddos just about every year since they’ve been around!

I met william and mara last year when I did autumn mini sessions. They came back for more this year!

jenna + anthony.

Jenna and Anthony got married this summer in Michigan, but she wasn’t happy with her photos from her photographer so she hired me to do a session. I mean who wouldn’t want another chance to wear their wedding dress again?! We had a great time – these two are troopers, climbing trees and exploring the forest with me.

nina: almost one year old.

Earlier this year I took photos of nina when she was 7 months old. Now she is about to turn one! We met at the Grove on Saturday morning to take some autumn photos of her – Last time we met, she was just learning to crawl, now shes walking!

 

 

 

carrie + marty: married.

My last wedding of the year was with Carrie and Marty  who got married in Rock Rapids, Iowa, where Carrie is from –  and then had a reception in Sioux Fall, South Dakota. Rain was in the forecast for a good chunk of the day, but we managed to get some photos in her parents back yard before the rain finally came. By the time we got to the reception though, the sun was shining! I had a wonderful time with these two. Couldn’t be happier for two people to be married!

becky + ed: married in turks & caicos.

I feel so lucky to have gotten to photograph becky and ed’s wedding at the Beaches Resort in Turks and Caicos! What a day! This was definitely one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. Becky and Ed got married under the palm trees with their kids by their side and 50 of their closest family and friends. It was just perfect! I had the best weekend with these two and all of their guests! Congratulations to Becky and Ed! Thanks again for bringing me along!
